I didn't know that, I thought it was a JGR-map. My mistake.

Nope, all my Maps are built on Vanilla to serve the widest audience. In the future though I should also post instructions on future map projects as to how to enable editing parts of the scenario normally locked (ie enable the "deveoloper" options at the users own risk of causing issues and crashes when changing newgrf's)

Either way, just remember anything made by NekoMaster is pretty much always going to be made to work on Vanilla/stable openttd versions.

If OPenTTD ran better on HUGE maps like 8192x8192 (only possible in JGR Patch pack at the moment) I'd maybe be tempted to make an even more insane USA-Canada 8K map :D

I've been playing this map a bit on 4k by 4k and my main critique about the map is how flat it is. For example it feels like the Rockies are just a series of rolling hills you can dig out rather than massive mountains you need to smartly plan and tunnel your way through. Same critique with the Appalachians on the other coast as well. I live in a hilly area in north New Jersey and seeing all those hills being flattened to the same height is strange for me.

It's probably not possible or feasible to scale all the heights on your end (you'd need to replace all the towns and rivers), but it'd definitely be a more interesting map if the hills were hills and the mountains were mountains.

Me and my mate have sunk Many hours into this map on coop, (will have to show off some of our builds for you at some point). but we use JGR a lot I would love to see you make into 16X16K or something bigger cause we play to the contours of the land and being forced to build over the Rockies realistically is a dream.

what do you use to create the maps i did try to build one a few months back but Florida ended up being a very big Blob. the great lakes felt like a good size but were all land etc 8o 8o so i appreciate how difficult it is now

Hello there

I just started with the map and im very lost... After searching what lines to do first i find out that everything needs machines but when i searched more i found you also need machines to build the machines. You need to have machines in the most basic jobs like mines and sand pits, etc... but how can i give them the machines when i need those materials to produce the machines?

Please tell me if im doing something wrong and which lines to start with... Its very nice map and i like it so i dont want to just delete it without trying,

Primary industries, such as mines, sand pits, and farms will output a base level of cargo to transport without needing any additional machine. This will be enough to get you started in building up your industry chains. Eventually you should be able to build this up enough that you can supply what you need to the machine shops to build the machines and then send some back to the primary industries. When you do this, they will begin to increase their production, and if there are months where they do not receive machines they will fall back to their base level production.

I don't remember which industry set is loaded (it's been awhile) but I assume it's either FIRS, AXIS or NAIS. all of them should also have an additional "port" or "wharf" industry which may also produce some of the additional materials you need at a base level, but if you provide them other things in exchange they will make more stuff.
